How to Get to Level 421 Plastic Mariana in Escape The Backrooms

To enter Level 421 Plastic Mariana you need to go through this door in the Bunker. This was the old way to level Overgrowth. To get to level Overgrowth now you need to complete Level 421.

Entrance Gate Code

When you first enter the level, you will see 4 containers holding different colored balls.

3 of them will have a single color and one of them will have 2 different colors. The containers are numbered, and that is the order you need to enter their ball colors on the code terminal. To get the last color you need to combine the 2 colors of the balls in the container that has 2 different ones (follow the sheet below).

For example, if the container has blue and red balls, the color for that container will be pink. After unlocking the gate, continue forward.

Flower Puzzle

Now you need to explore the rooms until you find 3 different flowers painted on the walls of the rooms, and you need to remember the flowers and their colors. The 3 different colors for the flowers are always the same: pink, cyan and yellow. The colors only switch between the different flower types in different playthroughs.

After you have found 2 out of 3 flowers, you can head to the locked gate, which is on the second floor.

In the rooms around the locked gate you will find projectors that look like a flower, and white flowers on the walls. The flowers on the walls look like the flowers that you found around the rooms. You need to use the projectors to project their color onto them to unlock the gate. You need to use the buttons on the projector to project the right colors, and you need to mix the colors the same way you did for the code at the start.

If you haven't found all 3 flowers, you can just project the missing color on the last one to unlock the gate. The 3 possible colors are pink, cyan and yellow.

The Plastic Mariana

After you unlock the gate, jump into this pit.

You will end up in Plastic Mariana, a giant ball pit. You need to turn on all the lighthouses while avoiding the Giant Shark that swims through the balls.

After you have turned on all the lighthouses, wait for the white balls to appear, then follow them and jump into the circle they make.

After you jump in, you will end up in a room with 4 hoops. You need to score in each one with the balls from the floor and then you can exit the level. The easiest way is to bounce the balls off the wall, or get right in front of the hoop, jump, and throw the ball inside it.
