Level 9 is split into 2 parts, which are the Darkened Suburbs and the Abandoned Outpost.

The Console Map and All 3 Marked Houses

At the center of the Darkened Suburbs there is a gated house with a console next to the gate. The console has a map of the Darkened Suburbs that has 3 houses marked in red.

In each one of these houses there is a computer which you need to interact with in order to unlock the gate. Inside the marked houses there is a Wretch entity that you have to avoid.

After you have interacted with the computers in all 3 marked houses, the gate will open.

You can then enter the house and proceed to the Abandoned Outpost, which is in the basement of the house.

How to Beat the Abandoned Outpost in Escape The Backrooms

To complete the level, you need to take the keycard from the Wretch entity and then get out. To do that, you will first need to collect 4 Almond Concentrate bottles that are spread around the Abandoned Outpost and fill the shower with them.

After you have collected all 4 bottles, push the shower next to the trapdoor and lure the entity into it. After that turn on the shower, and the entity will drop the keycard.

After you get the keycard, exit the Abandoned Outpost and return to the Darkened Suburbs. From there, go to the top of the map where the exit gate is and use the keycard to unlock it. You can also view the exit gate location on the console, which showed you the marked houses.

The Neighborhood Watch - this entity roams the streets and will chase you if it sees you.

Wretch - they are spread around the houses to guard the computers. There is also one in the Abandoned Outpost that holds the keycard.
